Bilsan was founded as a consulting firm in 1972. The area of specialization was heating and ventilating. Bilsan was responsible for heating drawings and capacity of the equipment in building. In 1973, Bilsan started to manufacture heating and ventilating equipment, which were required in the drawings. Bilsan, then, develop a market in heating and ventilating systems. In 1977 Bilsan moved to its current place. The year 1979 was a breakthrough in Bilsan’s company life. The engineering project and manufacturing of ALTINAPA Dam gates and spillway was started. The engineering, manufacturing and installation of this project was completed in 1984 with an HONOR CERTIFICATE from DSI (Turkish Government Water Department). After completion of this project, a new era opened. Bilsan started to manufacture industrial machines such as hydraulic and eccentric press brakes, sheers and per fore machines.
The good reputation of the first dam project brought another one, Yaprakli Dam gates and spillways. Bilsan again was totally responsible for the dam gates and spillway gates from planning to installation. This contract work took 3 years and it was completed in 1991.
