2nd Iraqi Security & Defense Summit on October 16-17, 2008 in Washington, DC
The 2nd Iraq Security & Defense Summit is a continuation of the past conference that has become a recognized part of the architecture of Iraqi reconstruction and the best available vehicle to have a voice in the progress of the country. More than 200 Iraqi officials have participated in the past conference including 12 Iraqi ministers who were keynote speakers. Twenty five Iraqi Deputy Minister and senior officials from the US government and other countries also participated as speakers or panelists.
The 2nd Iraq Security & Defense Summit is produced by the organizers of the Rebuilding Iraq Series that pioneered in 2003 and was profiled on the front page of the New York Times and more than 100+ other media outlets.
