Companies from 15 Countries Register Early for 4th Rebuilding Iraq Conference

Washington, DC — June 07, 2005 — Representatives from fifteen countries have registered to attend the 4th Rebuilding Iraq Conference so far, officials from New Fields Exhibitions, the organizer of the July 20-21 conference in Washington DC, announced today. Middle Eastern countries have taken a strong interest in the event, pointing to an eagerness throughout the region to contribute to the rebuilding process.

“The rebuilding process in Iraq is an international effort, as can be seen by the companies from fifteen nations that have already registered for our 4th Rebuilding Iraq Conference,” said Samir Farajallah, President and CEO of New Fields. “Iraq stands at a key turning point in its path to democracy, security, and prosperity. The involvement of companies from the United States, the Middle East and elsewhere in the international community will be a key part of Iraq’s success.”

The conference is the latest installment in a series of events that brought together Iraqi government ministers, U.S. government decision-makers, prime contractors, Iraqi entrepreneurs, and hundreds of American business leaders together in 2003 and 2004 to network and devise solutions for the reconstruction and modernization of Iraq.

Topics at the 4th Rebuilding Iraq Conference will include security, contracting and subcontracting opportunities, working with the Iraqi government and the Iraqi business community, industry-specific breakout sessions, and much more.
