Major Iraq Business Conference Planned for July
Washington, DC — May 16, 2005 — Nearly six months after Iraq’s first democratic elections and just over one year after the transfer of sovereignty from the Coalition Provisional Authority to the Iraqi people, New Fields Exhibitions will hold the 4th Rebuilding Iraq Conference in Washington DC on July 20-21, 2005. The conference is the latest installment in a series of events that brought together Iraqi government ministers, U.S. government decision-makers, prime contractors, Iraqi entrepreneurs, and hundreds of American business leaders together in 2003 and 2004 to network and devise solutions for the reconstruction and modernization of Iraq.
“Through extensive consultation with attendees at our previous Rebuilding Iraq conferences, the message is clear: American investment is one of the key elements needed for the Iraqi people to successfully build a modern, market economy and to enjoy peace and security,†said Samir Farajallah, President and CEO of New Fields.
Topics at the 4th Rebuilding Iraq Conference will include security, contracting and subcontracting opportunities, working with the Iraqi government and the Iraqi business community, industry-specific breakout sessions, and much more.
